When an order is said to have come from above, it means that it doesn't have to be altered! The contents of such an order must be carried out.

At times, we face dire consequences that may discourage us from going on with our activities but the order says, "don't give up now! " It is a plan that must be carried out, one of those plans is the plan for success and amassing good wealth in life.

Without courage, no one can do anything. Not even me and if you don't have one, you can start building it now!

Empires are built through the applications of knowledge in the right directions not sitting down to gossip about others.

It takes nothing from you to start today, just courage. Giving it a try is the best option while going back is optional but the best is yet to come.

Stay focused, there is no cause for alarm but the choice is yours. Whether to move forward or backward but going back (having gotten this far) is abysmal.
Odinaka Davishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10285365685027254876noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3542299408128787057.post-48300719822655362332020-11-10T08:27:00.000-08:002020-11-10T08:27:15.681-08:00INVEST IN YOURSELF
It is not always about bags and baggages. At times, you may need to do more than shopping for groceries. It takes hard work to arrive at a definite position but more of the times, smart works matter.

You may not always have the money to spend on human hairs but be akin enough to save up for the future. Rain does not announce its presence untill it is about to drop. To avoid been late to work, dress up on time.

All it takes to save for the future is to start now. Nobody may tell you where to start saving from because you yourself knows. So long as you do not steal, everybody is okay.

One of the best thing you can do for yourself - which nobody may teach you - is to invest more time in seeing yourself grow into a very healthy human being. It is said that health is wealth, I believe so. Nobody should pressure you into doing unhealthy things for the sake of one promise or the other.

There is time for everything, when it is time for you to succeed, success would definitely come but while you are waiting, be up and doing.

Start now to invest in yourself! Every penny matters, every grin does also and every second counts.
Odinaka Davishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10285365685027254876noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3542299408128787057.post-60876599033939229642020-10-28T06:18:00.002-07:002020-10-28T06:18:33.859-07:00NO WAY BACKWARD
And it came to pass in the day of Arzimuthal Parade that the Imiano realized that he was not serving the Lord the way he should. So, he decided to make a U-turn.

This is not a time to crack jokes of the "Ozza Room." Neither is it a good time to start calling the corona virus pandemic a 'covik-1,9.' situation. Rather, it is a time to take immediate imianologic response!

Ladies and gentlemen, it is good to know that today is dangerous. It could either be good or bad. whichever way, it is dangerous.

Before we used to say that let bygone be bygone but now, I can only say that there is no way backward!

Odinaka Davishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10285365685027254876noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3542299408128787057.post-15938334374470349272020-07-01T05:47:00.001-07:002020-07-01T05:47:41.099-07:00DO SOMETHING NEW

When I first heard Amanda Chisom speak over the video, I was surprised. I never knew she had gotten up to that level. I mean, she was sound.

If you are in need of motivation. Look at Ezeguy. I once made a post about him on my wall not because I needed his money or anything but because I just felt the need to do so.

I am not saying any of these things to shame anybody because I know that most of us are good at what we are known for.

After all, we have the likes of Ike Marcel Okonkwo who said in The Oracle of Light that, "When in your perfect light and bliss, substance will come, and even more of it will come if your concern also is about others. " He went further to say that, " The divine magistracy and order is not against having wealth. It is against wealth that serves and benefits only you. So share and help others in expectation of nothing from them. " So, if you are here and you are training a girl child in school all in the hope that she would grow up and marry you someday, forget it. People do change.
Odinaka Davishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10285365685027254876noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3542299408128787057.post-85121355335652872652017-07-07T11:08:00.001-07:002017-07-07T11:08:43.613-07:00Life Journey: 8 Agreeable Tips To Aid You.

Most times we perceive life as a war front instead of the journey it is. Yes, a sojourner could face adversities along the journey but that doesn't make life a war front . Everything is passive, so are situations.

On Energy.

Have it. Energy is what rules over the world, without it we can do nothing. Imagine there is no energy in our world today; no progress of any kind would be made! We are humans on this journey of life; we require energy to work, concentrate and achieve success. Energy helps us to think appropriately, to eat, to breath and to stay alive. Have you ever wondered why a person who fell into coma doesn't have anything to do? It's because the persons energy level is joggling between 0% calories and 0.009%. So, it is good we channel our energy towards achieving positive things. Energy is the language for getting works done. Endeavour to engage yourself in thing that will give you more energy.

On life.

Finally, live the best life and don't let anyone make you feel like you deserve the less out of life. It's yours you can either make it better or ruin it depending on the ambition you have and your kind of attitude towards working to succeed.

On fear.

Contain it, one can have fears along the way, it is just human nature, but allowing the fear to overwhelm one is not the ideal thing, fear never solve a problem but increase it. It was Amelia Earhart who said and I quote,

The most difficult thing
is the decision to act,
the rest is merely
tenacity. The fears are
paper tigers. You can
do anything you decide
to do. You can act to
change and control
your life; and the
procedure, the process
is its own reward.

Fear is normal for human beings but too much of it is not favorable. Contain it to a certain level and know when to shelve it off. Any form of fear that stops you from achieving your good aims in life is not worth residing with. So, do away with unnecessary fear.

On finding the right purpose.

In life there are different processes that need to be harnessed but one has to choose according to one's personality and motives. If your motive is to become great in future, then you have to start now to practise great things, if there are no much things as to be considered 'great' around you, then practise the 'little' one a great deal. It is important you know who you are and what works out more for you. You may not work at the same pace with others but discovering your God given pace is better so long as it doesn't set you back.

On ambition.

Harbour the right ambition. Some of us are sometimes too ambitious that we longer have time for other things or get our minds and life crowded with so many things. Strain out your ambitions and know which one to follow with the maximum speed while others can safely wait. Do not let over ambitiousness maim your dreams. Have the right ambition that suits you and work towards it.

On attitude to work.

At times I think I would get my backbone broken having done too much work but whenever I take a break and get my strength back I feel like starting all over again, does this occur same to you? Well, it is better to put a good attitude to work so that you don't easily get fatigued. We talked about energy, so, it's good to talk about different attitude to work. Having energy is not the way forward until you have channeled it through work to perform a certain task that will lead to a more fulfilled life. One different and better than the one you had been leading before the impact of the work. So, work to make ends meet and make things come true. Work is a good channel for fulfilling dreams.

On happiness

Be happy always, it is something you can do for yourself. If happiness is meant to be bought in the market, I bet it would turn out to be the most rare commodity with people willing to pay huge sums of money to get it; but then, it's all here with you. You can make it happen. So, live a happy life and discover those things which keeps you smiling all time. Any day I get tired of smiling at my screen while interacting with you online, I will quit writing. But, I'm still happy doing so. A happy life begets more success and a longer life span than an unhappy one.

On sharing.

Well, I just want to know; if this inspired you, share to a friend through the share buttons below or any other channel of your choice.

In life we come upon pains and gains
When one overwhelms the other, it seems the later wouldn't show up again.
This is a write up of a student on how he sees life and how he tends to want you see it too. Because there are different calibre of people in the world today, it wouldn't be an overstatement to say that people perceive life in their different ways.
For a student, life is neither a tough zone nor a bed of roses. It is fertile soil waiting to be cultivated on.
Though there may be tonne and tonnes of thorns surround it, the liver wouldn't let it be choked to death. It is still a promising fertile ground to achieve success on irrespective of the myriad of bushes surrounding it. Life is a good starting point, everyone should capitalize on it.
There is no gain saying that anyone who lives to see the sun rise, lives to witness another influx of possibilities and hope. Everyone harbours the hope of achieving success in life, students inclusive. If I may ask, what is the main aim of being in school? It is simply to achieve the knowledge that would see one solving practical life issues with the knowledge obtained in school. I am inclined to believe that anyone who goes to school with this aim is either there as a 'resident student' hoping not to ever graduate. No matter what you do or think, nature requires that you graduate and practise what you learnt.
Having said so, one of the ways to be a good student is to know why you are a student, the better way is to live up to it. There are no magics for success any where apart from these. A student who goes to school knowing why he or she is there will most likely do better than one who is forced to be in school! So, find out why you are there. But always remember, unless you hope to retire to a lonely desert after graduation, you will always be faced with the opportunity to demonstrate what you have learnt in school. Looking at it this way, you have to actually learn something in order to have what to offer as service after graduation. So, learn more things practically and genuinely today.
Furthermore, like every other category of people, there are certain things that could militate against a student achieving success in academics, one of them is lack of motivation. This is a big issue to be resolved. Some misled students no longer believe that there is the need to read hard or burn the midnight candles as it is said, they are more occupied with the thoughts of the outside world where they are inclined to think that there are no jobs waiting for them to grab after graduation. It is a big mistake. Yes, a lot of people who must have graduated long ago may not have gotten a job and so forth, but how does that determine your fate? So, study hard first,
get the right knowledge and grades nd be ready to carve out your way in life.
One other thing that militates against students' success in school is the presence of overwhelming distraction in the name of extracurricular activities. In case you do not know, these are activities that are not related to school and academics, they include incessant clubbing and pageantry competitions. These good, as having fun to curb boredom is necessary in life but, too much of everything does not just add up. Try to live a positively balanced life, a little fun a little reason why you are in school, don't concentrate all your energy in things not related to why you are school with time you will find out that it helps to do so.
To sum it up all, life, to a student is a fertile ground. It is a good soil that needs to be cultivated on. Though there may be challenges, opportunities are there to overcome them.Remember; life is a good starting point, so, capitalize on it.

Good day ladies and gents, welcome to this wonderful and inspirational moment with the Imiano. Today, I will be talking about what it means to cross the rubicon and the three times (among others) we intentionally or unintentionally do so in a lifetime.

Coming to more simple literary terms, the statement crossing or to cross the rubicon simply means one thing, which is to go too hard on something or someone in such a way that it's too hard or rather impossible to go back or be reversed. Itis just like saying that you can't turn back the hands of the clock because it has be propelled to pass a given time or number. Crossing the rubicon is tantamount to one going too extreme on something that one can no longer go back to redo it (or even do it better). Literary, when one crosses the rubicon, as it's being said, the question of going back is out of the picture, but in real life, I don't think it's so. There is always a chance of going back if one can persevere. And remember, at times, one is being pushed to the wall for or by one reason or the other and when one reaches one's maximum limit, and when that happens, one is more likely to cross over it and in so doing, it's really hard or impossible to get to the other (or initial) side of the wall.

Ladies and gentlemen, viewers, guests and visitors alike, at times many of us are being pushed to the wall by some people, conditions, external pressures being mounted on us and difficult times alike and, most times when we cannot withstand the tension anymore we tend to cross over the wall, hence the issue of crossing the rubicon. For, like I said, going back to the once normal side of the wall is not easy and most at times, impossible.
Now, would it be a surprise to you if I say that most times, so many of us are the ones pushing ourselves to the wall? Of course, it wouldn't if I point out clearly the 3 times in a lifetime when we intentionally or unintentionally cross the rubicon. Read below for them.

1.
When You Find It Impossible To Smile.

Bad conditions! I reiterate, Bad conditions! Have make the natural act of letting out a smile extremely difficult for some people. Take for instance, students find it hard to let out a smile in the lecture hall when a lecturer tries to tell a joke while keeping up with his or her lectures. The argument is not that they do not understand what the jokes are all about but the dozens of disturbing thoughts they immerse themselves in even while lecturers are going on do not give room for them to be able to crack the jokes! Think about it, most lecturers when they are lecturing tend to tell few jokes amidst lectures just to get the full attention of the students and then be able to carry them along ( it is a common practise among the ones who care about the welfare of their students though), the trick is that if they are able to get the students respond to their talks or jokes then they would know where the students are or are not lagging behind and be able to carry them along. For if you know how quickly a person responds to your conversation by his or her change of facial look, then you would be able to know how far the words have been able to penetrate through to their minds but guess what?
Nowadays most Nigerian students are occupied by the thoughts of how to scale through, pay hostel accommodation dues, course dues, feeding, transportation and clothing bills that they are too busy to hear or even be able to crack some of the jokes that come their way from the lecturer. So, if you are not responding, how can one know that communication has taken place since there has to be a way of giving feedback ( either by change of facial look or by verbal means, which is less likely in most cases) for one to say that communication has effectively taken place?

Please, when next you have the opportunity, always smile, none of these worries would give you joy over time. Thinking about them always (ie without ceasing) never helps either but finding a way to solve them. So, don't be absent minded again, smile at every little opportunity you have for the opportunity doesn't come often.

2.
When Nothing Matters To You Anymore.

You have probably had such feelings time without numbers; nothing matters anymore.
Sudden things (say accidents) happen close to you, you are not even aware, if you eventually take note of it, it doesn't seem to matter to you anymore, the best you could even after you notice is not even to blink an eye but to pick up your phone and take selfie close to it hoping to upload it to Facebook, Twitter and other networking sites someday with the caption, "accident selfie." If you find out you are like this, brother, sister, it won't be an overstatement to say that you have crossed the rubicon. Think about it, in life there are things that need to matter to you involuntarily. When you cross the rubicon, your involuntary reflex system may not even work well on you again, hence nothing seems to matter to you. When you notice that you are failing in some aspects, your instincts should naturally tend to help you find a balance by motivating you in things that you would profit from. Do note that I am implying that you should worry yourself so much, but allow little things to matter to you again.

3.
When You Just Feel Like Living Just Because Others Are Alive.

Probably, you are tired of living. You just live to fulfill all righteousness so you borrow other people's lifestyle to continue on the but personally, you have given up. Maybe you have heard it all. This country is not working out anymore. Employment is non existing. People can't just make it anymore or maybe you are tired of staying in your home country (just as I am), so you feel nothing could ever work again. There is no more zeal to waken up to your studies after all, those who graduated with excellent grades have not yet been employed, there is no job at all (just as we're told everyday) so there is no need to put in more effort. It does no longer matter if you graduate with First Class honours in your studies again because the economy is dying, so we are told and there are no more jobs at all. Lagging behind becomes the order of the day, those who were once brilliant start giving up on the course and the graduates keep frustrating the undergraduates with the no-jobs-out-there saga. So, in clear terms, studying hard to make it in academics is no longer worth the burning of midnight candles. Oh! You finally resign to the belief; nothing is working out in this country again, nothing will ever work out, there are no needs for trying hard to invest again, so let's just live as we are living; just for the purpose of living, nothing more, nothing less. You have crossed the rubicon at this stage. Find a purpose to live. Forget what they are saying, you have to prepared first before you can tap into opportunities when they surface to you. Persevere to make the distinctions first then think of what to become of it. I have a lot to say but I have to pause here. You can visit us always for more.

In final, crossing the rubicon as the term implies literary, means going over an extreme point that you cannot go back again but as I have noted earlier, in real life, these can be changed or reversed. We are not wooden objects but humans. Try to make things work again. Drive towards reactivating your goals and strive to achieve them.

source: Google
It pricked my heart really
as I walked through the
Nnamdi Azikiwe University,
NAU, Awka today as I beheld
in huge numbers the candidates
for the Joint Preliminary Examinations
Board, JUPEB, attached to the university
troop out in huge numbers from the digital
library in the school as they had just commenced
their second mock examination in preparation for the
main one coming up sometime in June 2017.
From what I observed and am made to know (from
some close allies), the joint preliminary Examinations Board
programme prepares and qualifies students to be eligible to gain
admission into the university and into their various academic fields of
choice usually called the departments or disciplines of study in the universities.

The JUPEB program is mainly for the Nigerian students and it runs over a period
of one year (i.e. one academic session) divided into semesters which are the first
and second semesters. I also noticed that the students who are candidates of this
program are not just merely secondary school leavers! These are students who had
appealed to ( You can term it 'applied to' I don't care) the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, through the UTME on several occasions but were not favoured enough to be granted admission into the universities by the board, among them also are those who have partaken in the Interim Joint Matriculation Board's program, IJMB, but were still not favoured
enough to be granted admission into the universities, among them also are those who have partaken in the various university preliminary programs such as Diploma courses, prescience et al and also, among are students from
the various higher institutions of learning
across the country who are either not satisfied
in the cage their grades have restricted them to
or better still those who believe they can do better
and are specially made for another field of study other than
the one they are now and, finally, among them are also fresh
secondary school leavers who believe they have what it takes
to skip one year in the university. These students are hopeful that
if they pass, after a successful completion of the programme to would
gain direct admissions into the second level of education in the undergraduate
scheme of the university thereby being able to skip level 100.
On my own accord, irrespective to how they may have been classified, based either
on their various walks of live or programmes they have undertaken previously, I classify
them under one basic statement, which is, "Those who are ready to make it!"
These kinds of students are not ready to give up at any cost nor say it is impossible
to get to their target destination or fulfill their mission. Such students are rare! Such students never say, "I quit" such students keep the hope of getting to their envisioned destination at the
end. They are the obstacle breakers and are not fans of impossibilities! And, I dare to ask you;
are you one of them, in the school of life? Do you believe that there are still other ways that can still open the doors of opportunities to you even when the renown ones seem to be shut before you? It is quite good to note or presume that not all these students trooping out of the library would make it into their desired fields of studies but they are still very hopeful!
Ladies and gentlemen, in this school of life we go through all year round, I am telling you these things; do the right thing and never give up. It is easy to see impossibilities before us but it is easier to ignore them! Never sit and wait for all the opportunities in the world to come knocking on your door, at times you have to go in look out for them. A dream that is what making a vision is what using efforts for it's achievement.
Never give up; hum it like a song always and
it shall manifest.

Finally, remember it was George Bernad Shaw who said and I quote, “You see things; and you say, ‘Why?’
But I dream things that never were;
and I say, ‘Why not?’”
So, learn to let go of unfavourable memories that
tramples your sight from seeing other positive
opportunities meant for you; dream big. Always remember that giving up is a big
work that requires energy in itself, use the energy
to keep standing. In so doing, the echoes of success
that are heard in some other places as the JAMB, Diploma,
JUPEB and prescience will be heard around you! not just the
echoes but the action too.
Odinaka Davishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10285365685027254876noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3542299408128787057.post-56098533875093702982017-05-24T12:13:00.001-07:002017-06-05T05:13:06.873-07:00DON'T GIVE UP NOW!
At times, we find ourselves in
Some other times we find ourselves
in situations we cannot explain what the outcome will be.
In whichever way, it is good to note that if the procedures
we are taking are good, the products would
not be far from what is expected.
In my exploits, I once read a story concerning
three friends, Gabriel, Abel and Ibrian who lost their
way in a little isolated island with thick forest in its heart.
As they wandered through the thick forests, they further lost their way!
Lost in the heart of the forest, they were like an army of abandoned soldiers waiting for orders to arrive which came! They hovered around the thick forest.

Beaten by hunger and the adverse weather condition of they forest, they were helplessly worn out, day in day out, they sought for something to eat or drink but they found none. The forest appeared to be barren. So, the three friends wandered in a single direction with the search for food and water to drink now added to their burden.
"Look!," "There is a mango tree up there!" Ibrian who sighted a mango tree up the hills rejoiced and screamed out to his colleagues.
"Let us go and pluck its fruits" they all agreed as the ran off towards the direction of the tree.
"Oh poor tree" Ibrian sighed as he noticed that the tree had no fruits on it.
"Let us go" Abel suggested as there were nothing to feed on from the tree. Yes, they all agreed to leave the tree but something unbelievable happened. Gabriel the youngest of them who later arrived at the spot refused to leave with them insisting that he had seen a ripe fruit on the tree!
"Go ahead and pluck it" his colleagues teased as they left him on the spot and, to his fate.
As he looked at his friends walk away slowly, Gabriel was quite disappointed and at the same time confused that his friends could not see the bunch of ripe fruits covered by thick dried mango leaves at the heart of the tree as convinced as he is that he had seen it.
Just after they had abandoned him, Gabriel climbed slowly and carefully to the heart of the tree after he tried in vain to pluck the fruits by throwing stones and sticks, he took healthy bites from the fruit as he made his first catch on a very ripe one. Gently, he replenished his worn out self with the juices of the fruits, filled his backpack with some and climbed down from the tree. Then, he headed towards the road hus friends had taken.
I want to ask you this; are you just like Gabriel? Is there a little hidden gift you have your friends are finding difficult to believe? Are some of your friends mocking or teasing you out of a dream you cherish? Don't worry a lot. So long as what you are doing is good, the outcome will not be far from the same. Just keep your dream, endeavours and hopes alive and don't give up easily.
Remember this, the little Gabriel on this story had the sight to behold what his friends could not see; so, he never gave up.
One of the guest speakers, Sir Pete Ibida, speaking at the event.
Good day to you ladies and gentlemen, readers and viewers respectively. I bring to you the 5 most inspiring moments at the Anambra Creative Forum 2017 that was held at the Kenneth Dike Digital Library, Awka.

On the 11th day of May 2017, the whole of Awka city in Anambra State, Nigeria was illuminated by the brightness of the intense knowledge and ideas of expertise shared at the platform of Anambra Broadcasting Service Creative Forum held at Kenneth Dike Library, beside Aroma Junction.

The programme which was scheduled to commence at 10:00AM prompt was delayed to about 10:30AM before it started. The show had in presence the likes of Hon. Sir Pete Ibida, who is the member representing Njikoka II Constituency in the Anambra state house of Assembly, The MD/CEO of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Nze Uche Nworah, The MD National Light Newspaper, Sir Chuka Nnabuife, Prof. Stella Okunna who is the Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, The CEO Okwaifugo Integrated Services, Mr. Ikemme Chizoba, A former Beauty Queen of th state, The Founder of CampusAmebo, Kachukwu Kachukwu, The SSA To The Anambra State Government on Grassroots Orientation and Enlightenment, Mr. Anthony Ugorji, Paschal Osubor, Martin Beck Nworah and the host of others. Also in presence was Imiano, The CEO, JusPos Blog (juspos.blogspot.com).
The programme started with an opening prayer, rehearsal of the National Anthem, followed by that of the Anambra State Anthem.

An opening speech was made by the presenter, Mr. Eze Onwuji who spoke the decadence in the academic pursuit of the youths and the way forward. In not more than 5 minutes, Sir Pete Ibida (Onyeonadilimma) arrived at the event in the company of his media aide. A formal introduction of the members of the high table was made by the MC, MC Roy. The MD of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Nze Uche Nworah stood up to address the audience. That was not until he had recognized Sir Pete Ibida as his 'Senior' at the College Of Immaculate Conception, CIC, Enugu state formerly.
The MD thanked the participating audience for being there, the special guests and the ABS ICT team while going on to reveal the purpose of the event. From what he said, The Anambra Creative Forum was begun in 2015, ie.. 2 years back in response to the poor reading habits perceived in the youths and also to open a channel where the average youth can communicate, get educated and interact with people of like minds, while also saying that the programme aims at harnessing the power of creativity in the youths. According to JAMB news, the exam is expected to kick off in the month of May, 2017.

JAMB UTME candidates taking their exams. source: Google.
There is no doubt that a lot of people especially secondary school leavers are on the race for this exam. This has amount to candidates wondering silently and sometimes verbally, "who will it favour most?". No doubt, this exam would favour mostly those who are adequately and sincerely prepared for it.

Besides, the 2017 JAMB UTME would come like a flash. Some applicants may leave the examination hall wondering if they had just taken the all anticipated exam. Yes, that is actually how it is. You will have to prepare for an exam for almost two months only to sit for the exam in a flash of about two (2) hours! But the ordeal is not yet over. This is because most JAMB candidates spend the remaining few hours of the day wondering how ir what there result would look like.

For some, this is a moment of unceasing prayer despite the fact that they must have offered words of prayer before and in most cases, even during the exam. To some also, this is a time of panic and uncertainty.

Furthermore, I do not belittle anyone who believes in the power of genuine prayers or anyone permitting anxiety into the situation but, I am always quick to ask, "did you do the right thing to enhance or avoid these respectively or as the case may be?" Of course, you are free to be anxious and expectant over the course of your result and even pray but is that all you needed to have done? did you prepare for the exam adequately? This is part of the questions some JAMB candidates find hard to provide answer to. It is no news that most of the candidates who registered for the examination, mostly those who are male, find delight in watching Christiana Ronaldo and the likes of Messi while their female counterparts are carried away chatting with physically unidentifiable friends on Facebook and other social media platforms despite the fact that they have such an important examination ahead of them.

Hold on JAMB UTME candidates. why do you spend all your time catching fun on Facebook when that fun can wait? Hear Diane Nyad say this,

I am willing to put myself through anything; temporary pain or discomfort means nothing to me as long as I can see that the experience will take me a new level. I am interested in the unknown, and the only path to the unknown is through breaking barriers, an often painful process.
!!
So, what is that painful process you think you are going through now because of JAMB UTME? Is it the fact that you have to stay away from your distracting friends for sometime? Be it what, I want to tell you that it is to the effect of igniting the zeal in JAMB candidates to forestall these frivolities that I am telling you to face your book and do the necessary things to enhance success in your examination.
Author: Diana Nyad. Source: Izquotes.com
Just yesterdays, we heard that the world's most loved messenger app, Whatsapp, had crashed and was inoperable, today, what is happening? I am currently chatting with my friends on Whatsapp because it has been restored to normal! The same applies to you; you have forfeit Whatsapp for sometime and face your study, there is no single harm in doing so. After your exams, Whatsapp and other messenger apps will still be there waiting for you to operate them.

Therefore, JAMB candidates, hold on and read. Hold on! Facebook will not crash if you quit it for some minutes.
I urge to pick up your books and read them. Integrate passion to what you do. See this moment as a transition stage. What you transit into is a major product of the processes you initiate today. Do not wait for the examination to be, "two days to go" before you start reading. Prepare your mind on time and be ready for the worst even though we are expecting the best. Remember, you are not the only person on this race but each individual will get an equivalent score that reflects how much he or she had studied. Be the best you can be now and make the best out of the little time you have. If you do it well, you may not return to this stage again.
It comes during the holy week and precede Easter which is the day of celebration of the rising from the dead of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Crucifix

The 'Good Friday' is observed in most countries of the world where the catholics are located. No one knows why it is termed so but some has contested or argued that the good attached to it comes from etymological form, "God's Friday" while some would argue that it is termed so because it begets the glorious celebration of the day Christ was raised from the dead.

In all, some christians observers/ tradition would choose to use the opposite. In Germany, for example, it is termed, "Karfreitag" which means "Sorrowful Friday" while also it is referred to as Great Friday and Holy Friday in some doctrines.
The Holy Friday, is usually proclaimed a holiday in most christians countries like Nigeria.
On this day, the christians faithfuls memorize the events of that took place throughout the time Jesus Christ was subjected to worldly humiliation (according to the Holy Bible) and willfully suffered and was put to death to take away the sins of the world.
On a day like this, the churches in the christians faith are not adorned in decorations. The Crucifix bearing the body of Christ nailed to the cross hung on the alters are wrapped with sacred cloths. In most churches, like the catholic denomination today, the Divine Liturgy is not celebrated.
Christian faithfuls on this day to recall the sufferings of our Lord Jesus Christ on the road to Cavalry.
On this day, the christians faithfuls recall the suffering and death of Christ through public readings of specific Psalms and the gospels, singing of hymns about the death of Christ. In most cases, especially in Nigeria, the series of these events are acted out by the various churches' youths and faithful observes.
On the 19th of March, 2017, we wake up to the NEWS update - Man Jumps Off Third Mainland Bridge by Vanguardngr of an unknown man jumping off the third mainland bridge in Lagos State, Nigeria. A lot of people had wondered what would have prompted such an act. Martin Beck Nworah was one of such people who had undertaken such laborious task to find out who or what must have prompted such an act by a well meaning Nigeria citizen.
Subsequent upon this, I have deemed it fit to showcase the story in the light that I have seen it. Which is motivation. What would have prompted Master Allwell Orji to jump into the Lagos lagoon? Almost everyone would have asked, is it magic? was it an unexplainable urge?
Here is a recap of the news. On the 19th day of March 2017, a man later identified as Dr. Allwell Orji, while travelling along the third mainland bridge in Lagos state in a Nissan Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), had asked his driver to stop at the third mainland bridge. The driver with little or no clue of what lay in wait for him and his young master did as he was told, only for the young man who was said to be 35 years of age to alight from the SUV, and the next, "fiaam!" was the sound when he went off, subsequently jumping off into the body of water.
Below is the photograph of the scene of the incident.
As shared by the news media
Martin Beck Nworah in a report titled, "Issues On Dr. Orji's Lagoon Suicide" on Odogwublog had tried to analyse the remote and immediate causes of the ungodly act.
According to Martin, after the news was released online, MBN communed with his "crack team" to come up with the following findings and attributed them to be the cause of the ill act.

Dr. Orji was a bachelor as the time of the event

Dr. Orji was said to have sat for a crucial examination that would enable him get promoted in his medical career but was never promoted thereafter.

He was a sickle cell patient.

He often had seizures too. So, a driver was hired to look after him while also driving him around

He had attempted suicide at some point earlier in his life

His driver was oblivion of his master's intention mostly because he was newly hired

All said and done, I want to put more emphasis on the highlighted texts.
In life most time we choose to envy people we know little about without caring to find out what internally makes them up. "I want to be a medical doctor" anyone would say, "I want to be like that person in that Utility vehicle" anyone would also say but have you cared to realize a bit of what that fellow's life is all about. Having envy for another person's achievement is not a guaranteed way to success. I am by no means saying that someone committing suicide is any means a point of inspiration to us but in everything, there is a thing to learn.
It is good to know who you really are, accept who you think best to be and work on improving more on it that using your time to envy someone else.
This is how life is; always strive to be better than who you think you have been and leave envy to it's own with time you would learn that people's outward appearance is not the only basis of evaluation. Though it's necessary.

At times, people are deceived by their conscience into thinking that they have known all that there is to be or ever known about a simple subject matter, hence they develop the tendency of not wanting to know more and more about it again. On the other hand, there are people who value the idea that a thing known about a given concept or idea may improve over the time, hence they always tend to revisit the idea or concept to find out what more improved values it has to offer to their lives.<!<strike>more</strike>> If you have a boss that depicts the former, and I can tell that by you clicking to have more of this link, that you rightly depict the later description of person, then this is for you.
Furthermore, before I go on to release the 7 bullet points of what your boss wants to know about motivation, let me first explain what it is. Motivation, according to the business dictionary is the, "internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested and committed to a job, role or subject, or to make an effort to attain a goal."
In essence, motivation is that voice of reasons which propels one into wanting to achieve more. To stay motivated simply implies to remain inclined to a cause you so much believe would yield much fulfillment and satisfaction at the end. According to the business dictionary today, motivation is also the reason why a given individual, student who is not doing so well in school will spend extra time studying for a test because he or she wants a better grade in the class.
Moreover, here they are; The 7 Things Your Boss Wants To Know About Motivation:

Motivation brings decision-making processes to a head.
How many times have you wondered how certain business or personal decision-making processes are brought to a head, rather than an end? So many times I guess. Now this is where motivation plays a vital role. Without being motivated towards an attainable goal, a manager, boss or personal may end up thinking in so many directions without arriving at any meaningful end. Good motivation to a particular goal helps translate a decision-making process into an actionable goal determining factor or plan.

 Motivation Drives Motive.
Motivation is the major reason why one would insist in following an implemented action plan to realization or even, implement one. A motive is a reason that prompts one to doing something. Once you have a good motive, to actualize it would come from well received, and perceived motivation either from the level you wish to climb to on attainment of the motive or the incentive which you perceive accompanies it.

It Brings About Self-Actualization.
One of the major roles played by being motivated in the life of an individual is the role of fulfillment which an individuals derives in the attainment or actualization of a goal. According to business dictionary again, self-actualization is "the motivation to realize one's own
maximum potential and possibilities." It
also considered it to be the, "master motive or
the only real motive, all other motives
being its various forms." In essence, motivation plays a vital role in setting the individual towards the vital road of self-actualization.

It Brings About Being Better Organized
"Beating about the bush" doesn't help anyone. There is sense in agreeing that good motivation brings about a better organization in a person. A mind full of discouragements and myriad of broken pieces of thoughts can be put straight with just some few words of motivation and encouragement. Imagine you are in a situation that needs urgent address, be it a scattered room, a file littered office etc and you are standing or fixed to the floor not knowing what step exactly to take, then in this moment, a little voice calls up to you, "Cherie, come on, do it this way and the result would come out the other way." then you find yourself arranging the files or setting the room in other the way you thought or you are advised, that's motivation. From within you or someone else.

 Fulfillment
Have you ever thought of the level of fulfillment one attains when one's aims are actualized through motivation? That is the height of satisfaction one derives from knowing that a goal set for one's good has been attained. Motivation has a way of taking us to our peak of ectasy and elation, hear this, Oxford dictionaries asserts, "motivation is the desire or willingness to do something; enthusiasm.

It Boosts Interactivity.
Motivation is not a one-way traffic. It is easy for you to feel the minds of people when they motivate you and, it is also easy to understand yourself well when the motivation comes from within you. More or less, when people transfer their ideas to or you transfer what yours to them, their inner positive mind is being interacted with. Motivation boosts your knowledge and perception of the person who motivates you. Likewise when the motivation to do something comes from within, it boosts the form of intrapersonal interactivity because it simply and plainly notifies you of what your inner self really wants. Those are what it motivates you toward.

It Gives You More Reasons To Live
Have I said this before? Motivation can boosts one's hope! hope is the reason why we desire to see the future. Hope is the reason why we cease to give up on an endeavour or activity believing consciously that the end would favour us. And guess what? Hope is brought about mainly by motivation and motivation helps to fulfill plans.
'Don't give up now' Hope says, 'This is what you tend to achieve' Motivation says, and life gives moving swiftly and to a designated aim.

Nonetheless, lack of motivation is the reason why some people initiate a goal without finishing it. Is is also the reason why some would engage in a deal and give up on it without completion.
In conclusion, Motivation is one thing that propels one forward to go the extra mile. It brings out in you the qualities that you need to attain a certain goal that you have envisioned. Always think about motivation as a force of reasons. It discernable your boss wants to know these!Odinaka Davishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10285365685027254876noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3542299408128787057.post-61285321780030425742016-12-02T17:32:00.001-08:002017-06-05T05:20:34.941-07:00Could One Be A Delay Catalyst?<!<strike>more-->

Most times, when we type, write or say something giving little attention to the core value of what we want to say, we end up communicating what could turn out to be a grammatical, mechanical or technical error which we could have easily avoided.<!--more</strike>>

Recently, we heard that one of the popular "get-rich-quick" platforms over the internet - the Ultimatecycler had reportedly crashed, by this, it means that the scheme is, through its website, suffering from some sort of technological and programme setback thereby rendering its servers the inability to render their services as programmed.

Notwithstanding, I, alongside with others, followed and read so many articles as to why the system had a program failure (having been an investor myself, I was concerned), I came across an article on Whatsapp which claims to have orignated from the founder of the online financial breakthrough programme - Peter Wolfing, who was said to have made a few minutes video detailing or giving reasons why the system is appearing inoperable or slow in service delivery, with the word "congestion" being the major defaulter. Part of the statement reportedly obtained from the video partly read, and I qoute,

"Secondly, the features in the site like the programming is poor,in an instant when someone opens an account and doesn't activate it, he/she becomes a problem to his spill over in the sense that when new members join and are to be confirmed by that account but can't be confirmed due to that particular account is not activated and hereby being a catalyst of delay to his team and make members stranded, so right now is being worked on so that such account can be an issue to the spill over"

Well, this is a hard nut to crack because the statement which drew my curiousity seems to have in its possession two conflicting words - a catalyst and a "delay", then I got to ask the simple question below;

"Can one be a catalyst of delay?"

knowledge elementary science sees a catalyst as a substance, thing, means a person that facilitates the processes of a thing or product while on the other hand, the word "delay" according to the free dictionary extract from the Wiktionary, is a verb that means, "To retard; stop, detain or hinder, for a time."

So, why connect both in a single phrase or statement, i.e. a forwarder, facilitator and promoter coming in contact with a backwarder, stopper and a retarder to qualify a word or phrase, does also happen in our human race?

It is good for a positive thing to qualify or promote a positive thing or person and for a negative thing to qualify another negative thing.

Putting both together may not achieve the desired effect.

In essence, surround yourself as a person, with positive people if you want to be qualified or promoted prositively than have a mixture of both. It forms an unintelligible clause in writing and "crosses" in humans.

The day started like every other day with the cool harmattan breeze slowly and steadily setting in tellng us it is almost its season to shine again. Like every other person I saw, the now hot rays from the sun was now telling on me with my white singlet now partly soak in sweat as I trudged along the Enugu-Onitsha Express way in Anambra state.

"Mhen, this sun is going to be hot o!" I whispered to myself as I mentally went through what I have planned for the day, to elect which one to handle first before the other. Little did I know that my 'day' would be more hotter than I have thought.

"See, Oga, if you want to do you just do am now, I be former agbero (tout) boy o" A man who looked tattered spoke in a deep eastern pidgin voice.
What made me to stop and listen to the brag was actually one of the spirits that had sworn to make my day bad.

The man who was been talked did not seem to hear him.

Obviously, there was a misunderstanding, the man who had challenged another to do his worse was a tricyclist, they were both arguing over a change issue, the man who stood on the ground in a calm voice,
"Keke (tricycle) man, give me my change now or.." he had said when the young driver caught him short, people were already gathering and there was a glister of expectation as to who would win the other.

"... Or what? You would seize my Keke?"
The keke man asked.

"Oya make we see nah" the man who was standing about 6.5 feet above the ground said.

We observed as everything unfolded, no one even tried to seperate but watched to see what would happen.

There were about three other passengers on the keke napep, one looked like MC Amebo, I would have mistaken the young passenger to be him if not that I have watched him (MC Amebo) perform on several occasions, so, I know it wasn't him. Two other ladies sat in the tricycle looking as fresh and nicely padded as most Nigerian girls do at all costi these days. While the quarell went on I used this little time to check them out, they were typical "pinging babes."

For a moment I forgot I was going somewhere, just when I recalled myself I was about to move away when the unexplanable happen happened.

Episode II

"You no wan give me my change bah? We shall see." The tall huge man said.

"Do your worse!" The tricyclist who could'nt be polite enough said.

"OK" the man said with a clenched fist and a slightly squeezed lower lip.

Just as the Keke driver (tricyclist) ignited his engine and made to leave the scene, the huge man bent down like a professional wrestle about take out his opponent from the ring, he bent down a bit more, head one hand below the tricycle, one at the top of it and with a mustered aggressive build up of muscles and energy, he hauled the tricycle and its content of four passengers including the lousy tricycle driver to the other part of the road.

"Heyy!! Keke na ndi O bu E kpuo iru n'ala" people shouted in a native language which meant "Heyy!! Keke napep (as tricycle is mostly called) and its contents has been overthrown" as we could'nt believe what played out before us.

"Oga you dey craze?" I heard myself saying as people rushed rescue the victims of the mini "accident" that just happen.

Was I actually directing my words to the huge man or have I momentarily forgot why I should still be alive? this I couldn't even answer as the man drew close to me.

On a normal day I would run away and follow the popular saying that "he who runs lives to fight another day." But I did'nt, I looked at the guy who looked like an MC, I did'nt notice much, he had only sustained a little injury but that didn't look like a worry to him for he was able to maintain calmness but, what about the other occupants of the tricycle, the ladies, Oh my goodness, I'm going to fight this man to day to prove that he should'nt have caused any harm at all.

Just as I was soliloquizing all these in utter dismay and sudden upsurge of anger, the man was already facing me like the Biblical Goliath and I, the little David, only that this time I was defending the plight of just two damsels not that of Isrealite nation and, I had no catapult or sling.

"Erm erm, Oga, I was saying that.." I stuttered as I imagined the huge man who looked like a Jack squeezing life out of me.

"That what? " he cut me short in my heavily incoherent speech.

Before I passed out I could remember the man folding his right fist again, as he did before the lifting the tricycle, then, everything went blur as I sojourned into the valley of unknown return.
