    DON'T GIVE UP NOW!

The Voice Of Imiano     12:13     Inspirational     2 comments

At times, we find ourselves in
    some situations we cannot explain.
Some other times we find ourselves
in situations we cannot explain what the outcome will be.
In whichever way, it is good to note that if the procedures
we are taking are good, the products would
not be far from what is expected.
In my exploits, I once read a story concerning
three friends, Gabriel, Abel and Ibrian who lost their
way in a little isolated island with thick forest in its heart.
As they wandered through the thick forests, they further lost their way!
Lost in the heart of the forest, they were like an army of abandoned soldiers waiting for orders to arrive which came! They hovered around the thick forest.

Beaten by hunger and the adverse weather condition of they forest, they were helplessly worn out, day in day out, they sought for something to eat or drink but they found none. The forest appeared to be barren. So, the three friends wandered in a single direction with the search for food and water to drink now added to their burden.
"Look!," "There is a mango tree up there!" Ibrian who sighted a mango tree up the hills rejoiced and screamed out to his colleagues.
"Let us go and pluck its fruits" they all agreed as the ran off towards the direction of the tree.
"Oh poor tree" Ibrian sighed as he noticed that the tree had no fruits on it.
"Let us go" Abel suggested as there were nothing to feed on from the tree. Yes, they all agreed to leave the tree but something unbelievable happened. Gabriel the youngest of them who later arrived at the spot refused to leave with them insisting that he had seen a ripe fruit on the tree!
"Go ahead and pluck it" his colleagues teased as they left him on the spot and, to his fate.
As he looked at his friends walk away slowly, Gabriel was quite disappointed and at the same time confused that his friends could not see the bunch of ripe fruits covered by thick dried mango leaves at the heart of the tree as convinced as he is that he had seen it.
Just after they had abandoned him, Gabriel climbed slowly and carefully to the heart of the tree after he tried in vain to pluck the fruits by throwing stones and sticks, he took healthy bites from the fruit as he made his first catch on a very ripe one. Gently, he replenished his worn out self with the juices of the fruits, filled his backpack with some and climbed down from the tree. Then, he headed towards the road hus friends had taken.
I want to ask you this; are you just like Gabriel? Is there a little hidden gift you have your friends are finding difficult to believe? Are some of your friends mocking or teasing you out of a dream you cherish? Don't worry a lot. So long as what you are doing is good, the outcome will not be far from the same. Just keep your dream, endeavours and hopes alive and don't give up easily.
Remember this, the little Gabriel on this story had the sight to behold what his friends could not see; so, he never gave up.
