As the all anticipated mock examination in preparation for the 2017/18 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME had come and gone, it is left in the heart of the 2017 JAMB applicants aspiring to be admitted into the various tertiary institutions of learning across the country to decide whether or not to get prepared for the main examination. According to JAMB news, the exam is expected to kick off in the month of May, 2017.

There is no doubt that a lot of people especially secondary school leavers are on the race for this exam. This has amount to candidates wondering silently and sometimes verbally, "who will it favour most?". No doubt, this exam would favour mostly those who are adequately and sincerely prepared for it.
Besides, the 2017 JAMB UTME would come like a flash. Some applicants may leave the examination hall wondering if they had just taken the all anticipated exam. Yes, that is actually how it is. You will have to prepare for an exam for almost two months only to sit for the exam in a flash of about two (2) hours! But the ordeal is not yet over. This is because most JAMB candidates spend the remaining few hours of the day wondering how ir what there result would look like.
For some, this is a moment of unceasing prayer despite the fact that they must have offered words of prayer before and in most cases, even during the exam. To some also, this is a time of panic and uncertainty.
Furthermore, I do not belittle anyone who believes in the power of genuine prayers or anyone permitting anxiety into the situation but, I am always quick to ask, "did you do the right thing to enhance or avoid these respectively or as the case may be?" Of course, you are free to be anxious and expectant over the course of your result and even pray but is that all you needed to have done? did you prepare for the exam adequately? This is part of the questions some JAMB candidates find hard to provide answer to. It is no news that most of the candidates who registered for the examination, mostly those who are male, find delight in watching Christiana Ronaldo and the likes of Messi while their female counterparts are carried away chatting with physically unidentifiable friends on Facebook and other social media platforms despite the fact that they have such an important examination ahead of them.
Hold on JAMB UTME candidates. why do you spend all your time catching fun on Facebook when that fun can wait? Hear Diane Nyad say this,
So, what is that painful process you think you are going through now because of JAMB UTME? Is it the fact that you have to stay away from your distracting friends for sometime? Be it what, I want to tell you that it is to the effect of igniting the zeal in JAMB candidates to forestall these frivolities that I am telling you to face your book and do the necessary things to enhance success in your examination.

Just yesterdays, we heard that the world's most loved messenger app, Whatsapp, had crashed and was inoperable, today, what is happening? I am currently chatting with my friends on Whatsapp because it has been restored to normal! The same applies to you; you have forfeit Whatsapp for sometime and face your study, there is no single harm in doing so. After your exams, Whatsapp and other messenger apps will still be there waiting for you to operate them.
Therefore, JAMB candidates, hold on and read. Hold on! Facebook will not crash if you quit it for some minutes.
I urge to pick up your books and read them. Integrate passion to what you do. See this moment as a transition stage. What you transit into is a major product of the processes you initiate today. Do not wait for the examination to be, "two days to go" before you start reading. Prepare your mind on time and be ready for the worst even though we are expecting the best. Remember, you are not the only person on this race but each individual will get an equivalent score that reflects how much he or she had studied. Be the best you can be now and make the best out of the little time you have. If you do it well, you may not return to this stage again.

Note, finally, that, the higher you go, the higher we would want to see you get. So, don't let us or anyone who meant well for you down. Go, get the right materials and set the ball rolling. Pray when it's necessary and play at times too, but always remember to do your assignments first and well.

!!
I am willing to put myself through anything; temporary pain or discomfort means nothing to me as long as I can see that the experience will take me a new level. I am interested in the unknown, and the only path to the unknown is through breaking barriers, an often painful process.
